Grateful to Join the MHA Community

First and foremost, I want to say thank you to our members, our Board, and our staff for the warm welcome I’ve already received. Midwest Hardware Association has a long and proud history, and I’m honored to be part of an organization that has supported independent businesses for well over a century.

I’m excited to officially introduce myself as the new CEO of MHA, YOUR association.

While many people know MHA by its name and history, it’s quickly become clear to me that what this association does today, goes far beyond its roots. MHA plays a critical role in supporting businesses through payroll services, accounting, tax preparation, merchant services, and advocacy, and those services matter deeply to the day-to-day success of the businesses we serve.

We want to provide you with the tools you need so you can focus on working on the business instead of in the business, in other words, serving your customers and leaving the critical business services details to us.

Before joining MHA, I spent more than 25 years leading organizations, working alongside business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community partners across Wisconsin and the Midwest. Most recently, I served as Executive Director of the Portage County Business Council (i.e., chamber of commerce) and as Founder of Elev8 Workplace Engagement, where I focused on leadership, communication, trust, and organizational effectiveness. Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: strong businesses are built on strong support systems and strong relationships.

As I begin this role, my top priority is listening and learning. I’ve started meeting one-on-one with our staff, and I look forward to connecting with our members and clients to better understand what’s working well and where MHA can continue to add value. Your insights will help guide our future direction.

My commitment to you is simple:

  • To protect and strengthen the services you rely on
  • To ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability in everything we do
  • To continue modernizing our systems and processes
  • To build strong relationships grounded in trust and communication
  • To honor MHA’s history while positioning it for a strong future

I’m genuinely excited about the opportunities ahead and grateful for the role MHA plays in supporting independent businesses across the Midwest and country.

Thank you for being part of this team. I look forward to collaborating with you and serving you in the months and years ahead.

Warm regards,

Todd Kuckkahn

CEO, Midwest Hardware Association

2026 MHA Membership Renewals

A new year is just around the corner, and it is time for 2026 membership renewals.

If you are set up for recurring renewals, your membership will automatically renew. If you haven’t already, you will receive an email notification prior to your renewal date, reminding you that your annual membership will automatically renew, the amount and the date your payment will be processed. You may view and make changes to your membership subscription(s) and payment details anytime. Log in to your online account, navigate to your Profile and select “Subscriptions” from the left menu, then click on the three dots to the right of the membership subscription to view available options. Additional information about your automatic renewal will be included in your upcoming email notification.

If you are not set up for recurring renewals, you will need to take action to renew your membership.  You will begin to receive renewal communications, if you haven’t already, with additional information and instructions for renewing your 2026 membership.

If you are unsure whether your membership is setup to automatically renew or not, you may find this information when you log in to your account and navigate to your subscriptions page.

  • If you are set up for recurring renewals, your current subscription will display the next billing date, which is the date your membership will automatically renew, and your previously selected payment method will be charged.

  • If you are not set up for recurring renewals your current subscription will display an expiration date (instead of the next billing date) and you will have the option to renew after the expiration date.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty to your association.
