MHAAA: November 2018 Newsletter

The 2019 Poster artist is Rick Ross. Posters and note cards just arrived today. His featured painting is "Color Theory." We are excited to have our first abstract artist on display to help promote our event. These posters are given to many of our sponsors as a thank you. They are also for sale at $15 for the poster and $10 for a packet of note cards. They will become available to purchase from our website in the near future.

The 2019 top prize Raffle artist is Audrey Handler. Her beautiful glass apple has been selected. However, we plan to change things up this year by including more wonderful prizes of artwork. Therefore we will be making a request for more artwork submissions. We are now also seeking an artwork of $200 value and an artwork of $100 value. We also plan to include the "Box of Art" in our raffle and are requesting items from all other artists at a minimum value of $10. Though you may donate something of greater value if you wish. There will be further discussion about this at next week's meeting (see meeting info below).
November 15, 2018: Final d eadline to apply for the 2019 Spring Art Tour.
Must include $20 late fee.
Don't miss out! This will be an exciting year with more new artists, events in which to participate, and opportunities to be featured.

  1. The 2019 SAT weekend includes the last day of May and first two days of June (May 31-June 2).
  2. For the first time the Spring Art Tour will allow non-profit arts organizations from outside the tour area to participate on the tour provided that they are exhibiting at a location within the tour area.
  3. It's been several years since our returning artists have submitted new resumes. In the interest of keeping our grant applications fresh and up-to-date, ALL applicants are being asked to submit resumes this year.

Feel free to spread the word and share the application!
