What do you want this year!

As we enter a new show season, what are some fun ideas and things you would like to see this year? We are open to try new things and do new events! Some ideas are relay race/ fun obstacle course with horses? Or without horses. Line dancing? If you have some ideas please message the instagram or facebook linked both at top!

OMC Scholarship

As we are in the new year, here comes another fun years of shows! The Oregon Morgan Classic in June at the Oregon Horse Center offers a $500 scholarship to anyone in school looking to further their education and goals.

Oregon Morgan Classic Scholarship

This editions featured scholarship is the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) Youth Educational Scholarship Program. This scholarship is for anyone under the age of 18 who are active members in WDAA and USEF. There are 3 scholarship opportunities each for $500 and you can apply in December, April, and August. Youth of the Year!

Youth of the Year contests are for you, the youth to show off your skills and knowledge of the Morgan horse. Youth of the Year contests consist of four parts: a written exam, an oral presentation, a judging contest and a horsemanship pattern. Each section of the contest is worth approximately 250 points. Many contests offer divisions for the leadline, walk-trot, and junior aged exhibitors. Expectations for these divisions are modified to be appropriate for the age of contestants.

OMC Youth Activities!!!!

This year at OMC we are going to have some of the same activities as last year and more!! We will be holding a line dancing lesson which is open to all not just youth!! We are also going to be having a scavenger hunt activity throughout the show for the youth and you can win prizes!! The first few kids to finish will get gift cards as prizes to places such as Dutch Bros, but we will also have lots of little fun prizes as well!!
