Open Now: 2023 Military Teen Experience Survey

For the past two years, NMFA and Bloom have partnered together to find out what’s going on with military teenagers. NMFA gathered data through the Military Teen Experience Survey to get insight into what weighs on the minds of military teens and young adults—from mental health struggles to food insecurity. In 2021, the teens told us they weren’t okay. The following year, they were doing better and wanted to make sure their fellow military teens were, too.

Now in 2023, it’s time to check in with military teens again. If you have a military teen in your family, or you know one, invite them to participate in NMFA's 2023 Military Teen Experience Survey.

DoD STEM Technical Exchange Event

Did you know there was a DoD STEM office? Many School Liaisons interact with their programs and office to share resources with local schools. DoD STEM supports hands-on learning opportunities, teacher enrichment, scholarships, internships, and fellowships to inspire and cultivate a diverse pool of exceptional STEM talent. As the government’s largest employer of STEM professionals, the U.S. Department of Defense is committed to increasing the pipeline of candidates qualified for technical careers.

The DoD STEM Technical Exchange is hosting an event and will bring together partners from across the DoD STEM ecosystem to increase awareness and understanding of the depth and breadth of the Department's collective effort in STEM education, outreach, and workforce development. Attendees will build on existing, and create new, relationships to leverage the power of the network and amplify DoD STEM impact.
