Volume 4, Issue 9
March 23, 2020
Aloha All,

These are unusual times. We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community and stakeholders very seriously. Like you, we're closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are practicing social distancing. While the Council of State Governments (CSG), where our office is located, has temporarily closed, our support services remain uninterrupted. Both Lindsey and I are available should you need assistance.

Second, some of you are aware that Communications Associate Beth Workman left our organization at end February for another company here in Lexington. The vacancy is posted on the CSG website and scheduled to close at the end of the month.

Third, our standing committee meetings scheduled for the remainder of March are postponed. New meeting dates will be forwarded when available.

Last, April was scheduled for the Month of the Military Child. A s schools are closed and limits on group gatherings are in place, the national office has postponed our planned events until further notice.

We are all in this together. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our communities as needed.

For more information about COVID-19 and what you can do to keep healthy and safe, visit the Centers for Disease Control or your local health department's website.

Stay healthy, be safe, and please reach out if we can assist you.

Sincerely,
Cherise Imai
Executive Director
