Cindi Banman, Genesis Professional Organizing
Let's start at the beginning to create an organized space that you love
Genesis loosely translates to "start" or "beginning" and that's the most common thing Cindi hears when people call her. They know something needs to be done, but don't know where to start!
Her average clients are women who are committed to making a fresh start by reclaiming back areas of their homes that have become unruly. They often require support working through some very normal concerns and scenarios about not knowing where to start, ensuring that they don't run out of steam halfway through or end up with donations that stay in their car for weeks.
Not everyone is “born to organize” – and that’s okay; Cindi wasn’t either. Her background was influenced with behaviours such as chronic disorganization, consumerism, and collecting. Once she discovered that she had been living “visually impaired” to dirt and mess, it became a skill to notice when things were dirty or out of place rather than coping with the daily stress by avoiding as much as possible. (It’s surprisingly easy to do that when you have a job, little kids, and oh so many excuses to go for coffee with friends!) Understanding that her house could be as personal or as beautiful as she wanted it to be, brought alive new hope! Cindi started to clarify what that vision was, and over time, created a home that was functional, beautiful, and best of all, a home that she was happy to live in.
Professional Organizer, Peter Walsh once said “Your home should be the antidote to stress. Not the cause.” Cindi agrees, and is honoured and excited to offer hope to women struggling daily with clutter and chronic disorganization that Change Is Possible – and SO WORTH IT!
Cindi will be presenting a workshop called "Declutter Your Life" at the Rural Women in Business Conference on May 29th, where she will address many areas of Physical, Mental, and Emotional Clutter that affect us both at home and work.
