Clinic Rosters

The Clinic Roster functionality allows for easy reporting of a single lot number of vaccine that was administered by the same clinician to multiple patients, as in the case of a large vaccine clinic.

Patient information can be entered into the Roster Template and uploaded in the MIIS, or it can be entered manually.

Once the roster is submitted, the information reported will be reflected in the patient’s record and in your vaccine inventory.

New Demographic Fields

To keep up to date with ever expanding patient demographic information, the MIIS recently added three new demographic fields. With each new immunization, we now ask providers to report primary language, gender identity, and sexual orientation for each of their patients. This information is vital to understanding coverage rates for specific groups, expanding immunization outreach programs, and ensuring everyone can access immunization services and vaccine information. Like other demographic information we collect, these new fields have specific categories that the MIIS will accept. It is important to review the categories and mimic the language to ensure your data is getting reported correctly. If you are reporting via HL7 message, please review the MIIS HL7 Transfer Specifications to ensure your messages are properly formatted and using the correct codes that match the descriptions below. If you have any questions about your data and these new fields, please contact the MIIS Help Desk at miishelpdesk@mass.gov.
