MIP Fund Accounting Newsletter                                        April 2019

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  MIP Support Changes for
Windows Server 2008, Server 2008 R2, and SQL 2008 R2 Users

In case you missed our announcements at the last several User Group meetings, it's finally here - versions of MIP released after March 31, 2019 will no longer be supported on Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and SQL 2008 R2.

Before you panic, call IT, buy a new server or upgrade, now is the opportune time to consider MIP's Cloud. The pricing has changed and is often favorable when considering all of the IT costs associated with doing an in-house upgrade. (if you'd rather stay on-premise, DWD can help with server migrations too).

Date:  Tuesday, April 23rd

Time:  2:00 - 4:00pm EDT

Unable to attend on April 23rd:  A recording of the webcast will be made available to everyone that registers. If you're unable to attend on April 23rd, we'll send you a recording of the full 2 hour event.

Agenda:

EFT Payments - More people are paying their bills electronically because paperless transactions save time and money. So why wouldn't your organization want to do the same? We'll show you how to put the EFT for Accounts Payable module to work for you.

MIP Training Database - How many times have you wondered about the proper way to record (or correct!) a "nonstandard" transaction? We'll show you how to create a duplicate copy of your live database so you can test a solution without creating an even worse situation.

Forecast Year-End Results - There is a simple way to add a forecasting component to your monthly Revenue & Expense report. Your board members may very well appreciate having the additional information at their fingertips. You'll learn two steps required to add this to your reports.

Can March Madness Streaming Bring Down Your Network?

Millions of people across the country have filled out their brackets and are caught up in March Madness Fever.

The enthusiasm for the tournaments combined with games being played during business hours presents a challenge for companies.  Employees will surely wind up live streaming games on their computers and mobile devices slowing the company's network and crucial business applications in the process.
