MIS Noncredit Data and Accountability Workshops

Next stop on the 2020 MIS Noncredit Data and Accountability Workshop trail is the Central Valley – Merced College! Join MIS experts on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Merced College Business Resource Center as they provide a better understanding of CAEP noncredit MIS reporting. The MIS workshop is designed for CAEP administrators, instructors, research and support staff. In addition to the Central Valley workshop, there are three additional opportunities listed below.

Bay Area: February 19 th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Non-WIOA CAEP Consortia and Agencies Now Have Access to WIOA Professional Development

Did you know non-WIOA CAEP consortia and agencies are now able to access WIOA professional development opportunities through the California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO) and Outreach and Technical Assistance Network (OTAN)?

This includes access to regional Communities of Practice (CALPRO only), regional trainings, facilitated online courses, webinars and self-directed courses. Space permitting, CALPRO and OTAN will register adult education practitioners from non-WIOA CAEP consortia and agencies.

Navigating CAEP could seem overwhelming at first glance. The CAEP Onboarding Tool was designed to effectively help new adult education practitioners quickly learn about CAEP. The first step in the process is learning the background and structure of CAEP.

The Getting Started section of the CAEP Onboarding Tool provides information regarding the legislation that governs CAEP, program and fiscal guidance, and other beneficial resources.

Through an innovative board game, the Career Ladders Project (CLP) is leading an effort to develop and propose a third option to support adult students in California without high school diplomas to qualify for Ability to Benefit (ATB) aid.
