14th Annual MIT CDOIQ Symposium Postponed
As announced in March's Newsletter, we have made the decision to tentatively postpone the Symposium until August 18 – 20, 2020. Room reservations are currently pending, but w e will be sure to let you know as soon as we have final confirmation!

We are also aware that travel restrictions may be with us for several weeks if not several months, (depending on the location). Even though events and timings are starting to suggest that in the near future there may be some opening up in a limited capacity, we wanted to let you know that we are also considering adding a virtual component to the Symposium.We would love to hear from you in regards to this consideration.You can reach us at icdoteam@mit.edu

Now more than ever, data, analytics and expertise are of existential importance. It is not simply a matter of opinion. It has become a public and societal matter of life and death.

Unprecedented. This word we all have been seeing and hearing a great deal lately is intended to encapsulate the enormity of surprise and the magnitude of change the world is undergoing at the moment. But it has another implication. It admonishes many of us who are too comfortable with our ignorance of history, too intellectually lazy to comprehend how one event deterministically leads to another, or too fixated on “riding the wave” to envision and plan for its eventual crash.
