Featured Opportunity:
West Campus Internship Program
With only one month from the deadline of our West Campus Internship application, we thought it was a great time to introduce one of the most beneficial opportunities MJC's Ag department offers. This unique opportunity available to MJC agriculture students is the Student Internship Resident Program! Through this program, students are offered on-campus housing and utilities in exchange for 12 hours of work experience per week on one of the agricultural units on both east and west campus (and Beckwith Instructional Farm Laboratory too). Check out the video or contact MJC ag for more information.
Ag Aware Luncheon
The Ag Aware Luncheon was successful again, gathering over 500 agriculture business men and women together to help raise awareness for agriculture and FFA programs. The program stared with the presentation of colors, the pledge of allegiance, national anthem and opening remarks from the committee chairmen. After a delicious pork loin lunch, 2 local FFA Members - Josephine Henderson & Reese Gonsalves both gave speeches about the impact agriculture has had on them. Then we had the privilege of listening to James Garner speak about the importance of agriculture in the Central Valley.
