CAL Virtual Conference

Sign up for this FREE conference or talk to Mrs. Marchy (marchyl@mjc.edu) ASAP! This is a great chance to hear from amazing speakers and learn about the California Agriculture Colleges.

Meet Mr. Tim Solis Mr. Solis will be an Agriculture counselor working with Ms. Bailey. He has been with MJC counseling since October of 2019. Tim is a alumnus of the program, and graduated from UC Santa Barbara. Mr. Solis resides with his family in Sonora and is extremely excited to work with the ag students to help you all accomplish your goals! Welcome to Ag! When scheduling an advising appointment, ask for Ms. Bailey or Mr. Solis!

Nursery Reopening

With the great support in the past openings we are trying to open again. As you know the primary purpose of the EHS laboratory area is instruction and in its utilization we cannot have the mingling of the public with our students; that is why we are only Tuesdays at this time. If you are not feeling well then please stay home. Please follow the guidelines. If you do not want to wear a mask at all times then please do not visit the nursery, it is required upon entry. Only ten people will be allowed in the nursery at one time, with additional people physically spaced waiting outside the gate to the nursery. Thank you, Mr. Pollard

Pet Supplies Donation Drive

Last chance to donate to the MJC Vet Tech Food Drive is Tomorrow (10/1) from 2-4 pm at parking lot 102 on east campus (Corner of Coldwell and College). All supplies will be donated to recent fire victims in CA Wildfires.

Feature Heading500 USDA NRCS Pathways Internships Announcements Opening Soon These internships will lead to permanent careers with USDA, these are paid internships. Please share with your Modesto Jr. College students as you may deem appropriate!    This Save the Date notice is to advise students that the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be posting over 500 Pathways internships very soon! Students must apply online via applications to www.usajobs.gov when the positions advertised in October 2020. Internships will be available in but not limited to the following majors/degrees: Civil Engineering Natural Resources/Rangeland Management Economist Public Affairs Wildlife Biology Soil Conservation/Soil Science Agronomy Forestry   These internships are designed to provide a career-oriented introduction to the background, philosophy, concepts, and scope of the position selected for and a practical understanding of the policies of the employing organization. Assignments are developmental in nature and, in conjunction with formal education, the Intern will gain the necessary competencies leading to conversion to a permanent professional position.    Internship locations will be throughout the Nation and specified in the upcoming live postings. For further information on eligibility, program, and application please visit: https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/579533100.
