MJC's Pullin' Pirates
MJC Agriculture is known for the diversity of involvement and availability within our clubs. This week we would like to feature our MJC Pullin' Pirates (Truck Pulling Club). Here you can be involved working, building, and even pulling MJC's very own pulling truck! The club meets every Sunday, and it is never too late to join. Make sure to contact Mr. Conrado for more details at conradot@yosemite.edu. Also, don't miss the pull of the year hosted at MJC! This is coming up on October 26th!
Young Farmer Retreat & Membership Drive
This is an important week!
This week is the annual Young Farmer Membership drive! Make sure to make your way to east campus to purchase your membership card for $10. This card will get you into all of our activities, gain some extra credit for classes, and it shows involvement which can help you with our scholarship.

Our officer team also went on exciting two day trip for their retreat. To find out more CLICK HERE!

Deadlines are approaching for both of these scholarship opportunities. Be sure to apply!
  • Good Egg Deadline: Oct. 19th
  • Voss Berryhill Deadline: Oct. 28th

Upcoming Volunteers NEEDED
Interested in getting credit for helping with events at MJC? We are in need of volunteers! All year long MJC Agriculture and Environmental Sciences is hosting events, and we need your help. Currently, we need volunteers for the upcoming Harvest Luncheon ( 9/13), bull sale (9/20), and Senior Day (10/4).

If you would like to become more involved please contact Mrs. Marchy at marchyl@yosemite.edu.
Senior Day
Senior Day is coming up on October 4th! We are going to need all hands on deck representing Modesto Junior College's Agriculture & Environmental Sciences Department. We will need tour guides, students to organize lunch, students to man booths of the different clubs and degree areas. If you are passionate about what your major is or maybe a certain club get in contact with Mr. Gravatt at gravattt@yosemite.edu so you can influence and inspire incoming freshman to join you at MJC next year.
