The biggest surface rehabilitation project in 40 years at MKE on Runway 7R/25L is now successfully completed. Runway 7R/25L(east/west) at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) has been closed since April 5, 2021 for rehabilitation replacing the surface layer concrete. Aircraft operating at MKE have been directed to use Runway 1L/19R(north/south) while Runway 7R/25L was closed.
Runway 7R/25L re-opens on November 11th and residents living below flight paths can expect a return to normal aircraft activity levels.
