MLC-OPOLY: Will You Help Us Get Past Go?
One fun 25th anniversary project we're considering is the development and sale of MLC-opoly. The fully customized game would be professionally produced in the USA by Late for the Sky and would incorporate campus features. One goal is that alumni would play the game with their children or students as a fun way to introduce them to their alma mater.
The major hurdle is the number of games required to make the production financially feasible. Students were polled regarding potential purchase with a very positive result. We are hoping many alumni, schools, and churches will also purchase this "property" for a price of $25 (plus shipping if applicable). Please take this quick survey (by Sunday, November 8) to share any suggestions and let us know if you will help MLC-opoly become a reality by purchasing a game.
Once we know how many people plan to purchase, we'll make a decision as to whether or not we can get past Go! If yes, the game should be completed in early spring.

Same Jesus, Same Grace Anthology Album
Another project in the works is a choral anthology album titled Same Jesus, Same Grace (the 25th anniversary theme). It will feature a selection or two from each College Choir between 2013-14 and 2019-20 (including "I Will Rise" and "O Jesus Christ, Thy Manger Is").
A 2013 anthology titled O God, Our Help in Ages Past, will be reproduced and made available as well. It features a selection or two from each College Choir between 1998-99 and 2012-13.
New this year will be the availability of CDs, digital downloads, and distribution through major online platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, and Pandora. Both albums should be available by early December. Watch for more details regarding how you can purchase a copy on the MLC Facebook page and in the winter edition of this newsletter.

MLCAA Flips Formula & Adopts New Project
Since its founding in 2008, our MLC Alumni Association has designated 70% of all gifts to non-budgeted campus projects and 30% to scholarships. With the completion of the Fishers of Men campaign and the establishment of the new endowed scholarship, the board voted to flip the formula for 2020-21. This year, 70% of all gifts will go to the scholarship and 30% to the project.
NEW Christian Worship hymnals for Chapel of the Christ has been selected as this year's project. The association helped purchase some of the current hymnals in 2010 when the chapel was dedicated. Learn more about this project and please consider making a gift to support the scholarship and hymnal purchase.

We want to thank all our alumni who have encouraged and supported today's students during these turbulent times. We hope to welcome you all back for events (such as Homecoming 2021 on October 1-3) as the Lord wills.

MLCAA Annual Meeting News and Notes
Your MLC Alumni Association board meets annually on campus during Homecoming weekend and quarterly online via Google Meet. This year, the October 2 annual meeting had to "pivot" to online due to the closed campus.
We thank the faithful volunteer board members for their service in planning events, initiating appeals, coordinating communications, and completing projects that benefit our alma mater.
Do you know (or are you) a graduate who loves MLC and would be qualified and interested in serving on the board? If so, please nominate yourself (or them) via this online form.

A Sprinter Fun Run to Remember
One huge success story this year was the 10th annual Sprinter Fun Run's transition to a worldwide event.
The 1-mile run/walk typically occurs on campus to kick off Homecoming Saturday with about 300 alumni, students, siblings, and parents participating. This year, over 730 friends of MLC from across the globe (23 states and 4 foreign countries) donned their black and red and "ran." Race bibs provided well wishes and tributes to Knights past, present, and future.
Several churches and schools even organized local "socially distanced" groups of their students and members to celebrate MLC Homecoming together.
Special thanks to coordinators Sarah Zahrt (MLC '98), student rep Emily Flatau (MLC '22), and all who participated. Pictured above are NWC and MLC graduates Mark and Mollie Henrich of Markham, Ontario, with possible future Knights (Essie and Evangelina). They dedicated their race to mom/grandma Pat Stern (DMLC '75).
