Homecoming Happenings - October 7 to 9
The campus is eager to welcome back alumni, friends, and family for a weekend of autumn activities here on the hill.
Friday night’s Talent Show kicks off the fun. Saturday’s slate starts with the Sprinter Fun Run (register here), followed by the Betty Kohn Fieldhouse dedication. Back on the main campus, be sure to check out the Family Fun Zone, Alumni Registration, and Knights football in the Bowl. Head out to the Pitch to cheer on women’s and men’s soccer, then close out the day at the Kegel Klub with complimentary hors d’oeuvres at the Alumni Mixer. The weekend concludes on Sunday with worship in Chapel of the Christ, the Disc Golf Tournament (register here), and the WLS vs. MLC soccer "Brother Battle."
The full schedule (with times and locations) can be found online. We hope to see you for Homecoming ’22!

College Choir Fall Mini-Tour to Wisconsin
The College Choir is eager to take the Word in song to Wisconsin where, Lord willing, they will sing in four high schools and four congregations in five days.
Looking further down the road, the choir plans to spend their spring break traveling down the West Coast from WA to CA. Check out the schedule and plan to attend a concert near you.
Enjoy choral music? The College Choir has two anthology albums (2013, 2020) available for your listening pleasure on several popular music streaming services (Spotify, YouTube, etc.)

"One Way from LA" Alumni Tour
The College Choir’s spring break tour ends in Southern California. Instead of paying for the bus to deadhead to MN with the robes, risers, instruments, and empty seats, we are offering a "One Way from LA" alumni tour of the West’s best from March 1-12, 2023.
Highlights will include Southern California sunsets, San Diego, a College Choir concert at California LHS, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West, Valley of Fire SP, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Capitol Reef NP, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Amtrak rail through the CO Rockies, and much more.
Watch for information coming on October 15 on the alumni tour webpages, or contact the Alumni Office (alumni@mlc-wels.edu or 507-233-9135) for more info and promotional materials. Registration opens on October 29.

Hamilton or Les Miserables in Minneapolis?
19th-century France, or 18th-century America? Take your pick. The Alumni Office is planning two trips to the Twin Cities to see some of the 21st century’s most sought-after shows at the Orpheum Theatre.
Lord willing, we’ll take in a matinee performance of Les Miserables on Saturday, December 10, and an evening performance of Hamilton on Saturday, May 6. Motor coach transportation is an option in each case.
Alumni, faculty, staff, and their spouses are welcome to join current students for one or both excursions. Limited spots are available. The Les Miserables ticket sale opens on October 1 at 8:00 am (CT) and the Hamilton ticket sale goes live on Saturday, November 12, at 8:00 am (CT). Click on either sale link for more details.
