Commencement 2018
Help us congratulate and welcome another group of graduates at the 2018 commencement dinner, concert, and services.

Festivities kick off Friday, May 11 with the annual alumni dinner. Just $5 gets you a delicious cafeteria meal, professor-led presentations on MLC programs, and an opportunity to connect with fellow alumni. Learn more and register online or call Steve Balza in the alumni office at 507-217-1731 to reserve your spot.

Stick around for the always-popular commencement concert (7:30 p.m. in the auditorium) and then come back Saturday for the graduation (10:00 a.m.) and call service (2:00 p.m.). Both are held in the gymnasium and are open to all.
Join Us in Minneapolis
Alumni are invited to join a group of MLC students for an afternoon of baseball or music in Minneapolis on Sunday, April 15.

Choose from main-floor seating for a King's Singers concert at Orchestra Hall, or upper-deck right field seats for a Twins vs White Sox game at Target Field . Each is just $15, or $35 if you would like to ride the coach bus with us from New Ulm. An upgrade to lower-level seats for the Twins game is available for an additional $10.

Learn more and purchase your tickets while they last at the Eventbrite website .
Reunions
Is your DMLC, DMLHS, MLA, MLC, or NWC class or affinity group looking to reunite? Before you start digging through your yearbooks to prepare your invitations, contact the alumni office and let us know your plans.

The MLC alumni relations office is here to help you get your reunion going. We can assist with classmate contact information, name tags, memento booklets, mailings, and teleconference services. Those who hold reunions on campus can benefit from free use of facilities, meals in our cafeteria, tours, and much more.

The reunions webpage shows reunions currently being planned.
From the Archives:
Retired Faculty Interviews
The MLC History webpage contains many gems from our alma mater's past.

Each year, faculty members retire. When they leave, they take with them memories, wisdom, and insights gained from years of teaching here on the hill. In an effort to preserve some of those treasures, recent retirees have been interviewed and their responses are recorded here in audio and text formats.
Thrivent Choice and Amazon Smile
The Fishers of Men statue and scholarship campaign is progressing nicely and is approximately 1/3 funded. Please consider making a gift in support of this campaign to thank the Lord for 25 years of His grace to MLC.

Amazon shoppers and Thrivent members can also designate dollars for this MLC Alumni Association project through the Amazon Smile or Thrivent Choice programs. Thrivent Choice dollars from 2017 must be designated by March 29 or they will expire. Amazon Smile donates 0.5% of all Amazon purchases when you register and sign in through smile.amazon.com. If you are new to the program, they will donate 1.5% of your first purchase if completed by March 31.
Wind Symphony Tour
The MLC Wind Symphony will be taking its show on the road with a May 13-18 tour , performing concerts and accompanying worship throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Evening concerts at churches and high schools provide a full, formal program. Day concerts at the elementary schools offer a fun, interactive experience for students to learn about the various instruments and why each is important.

Plan to attend a concert near you and encourage these future church musicians.
