This spring semester's virtual classes and Commencement and Assignment services were not what we all anticipated, but God worked his perfect will and saw the seniors through it. We thank him for the 2020 graduates and welcome them as our newest alumni.
Please join us in praying that the Lord keep them in his Word and that he use them as his ambassadors in the places and positions he chooses.

Fishers of Men Campaign Completed
Join us in thanking God for leading the hearts of his people to generously support the Fishers of Men campaign. As of June 30, the $100,000 goal was reached, funding a new endowed scholarship and the construction of a statue of Christ at the campus center.
Recently, the first two $1,000 scholarships were awarded to rising seniors Rachel Schewe (Education - Clovis CA) and Ryan Mitchell (Preseminary - South Haven MI). The Fisher of Men statue is on campus and scheduled to be installed this fall. We sincerely thank the 500+ contributors who made this 25th anniversary gift possible.

MLCAA Flips Formula - Adopts New Project
Since its founding in 2008, our MLC Alumni Association has designated 70% of all gifts to non-budgeted campus projects and 30% to scholarships. With the completion of the Fishers of Men campaign and the establishment of the new endowed scholarship, the board voted to flip the formula for 2020-21. This year, 70% of all gifts will go to the scholarship and 30% to the project.
NEW Christian Worship hymnals for Chapel of the Christ has been selected as this year's project. The association helped purchase some of the current hymnals in 2010 when the chapel was dedicated. Learn more about this project and please consider making a gift to support the scholarship and hymnal purchase.

Remember Your Leaders and Pray for Them
President Emeritus Mark Zarling faithfully served the church for 40 years, including 13 at our college of ministry. The most recent InFocus magazine highlights how God blessed our alma mater under his leadership.
Join us in thanking the Lord for leading Pastor Rich Gurgel to accept the call as our next president. The times are turbulent, and he will need wisdom - along with the prayers and support of our alumni - to keep our college on course in its efforts to train gospel heralds. One of his many early priorities has been to work with faculty and staff to provide a Knights Return plan for bringing students safely back to campus.

Fall Events -
On Campus, Online, & Worldwide
To say the least, campus life will be different for the 2020-21 MLC student body. With many activities (including most athletics) becoming COVID casualties, we are seeking safe and sanitary (mostly outdoor and online) options to make memories and glorify God with our gifts.
Thankfully, live worship will resume with multiple opening services being held. The Monday, August 24, 10:15 service will be live-streamed and archived. Daily (including weekend) services will also be available online.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, both 2020 tours have been postponed to 2021. Lord willing, O Canada will now take place on July 9-24, 2021, while O Canyonlands is now slated for November 6-16, 2021.
A short waitlist is forming for the Canada trip while immediate confirmation is available for Canyonlands. For more information or to register, contact tour director Steve Balza (info below) or visit the alumni tours webpage.
