There's a lot to share with you this month, from celebrating new MLCC members to updates on this year's Golf Scramble, which is a great community-building event that also raises funds for the Mt. Lookout Scholarship and Endowment Fund (didn't know about that? That's ok. There's information in this enewsletter that tells you more about it). Read on to learn more about what's happening in Mt. Lookout!
As always, if you have questions about our community or issues that you'd like to discuss, drop us a line at info@mtlookout.org.
Sincerely,

In March, we launched a March Madness campaign for 2021 MLCC members. Those who joined the MLCC last month were entered into a drawing for a $25 Gift Card to Zip's Cafe. We had a fantastic response and send a warm welcome to all of our newest members!
Alas, only one can win and the name of that person will be drawn at our next MLCC meeting, this coming Monday, April 19 at 7:30.
We were so pleased with the March Madness response that we are launching a new Spring Into the MLCC new member drawing. Anyone who joins between now and May 1 will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card to Lookout Joe, one of our long-time MLCC supporters and business partners.
To enter, simply click the green Join the MLCC button. Annual memberships are just $20. All funds received are directly reinvested back into the community. To learn more, please visit ourMLCC membership page.
Four candidates for Cincinnati Mayor will be joining us at our next MLCC community meeting:
David Mann
Herman Najoli
Aftab Pureval
Cecil Thomas
This is a great opportunity to learn more about each person, their platforms and ask questions. The meeting will be held virtually next Monday, April 19 at 7:30. Visit our homepagefor a link to join the meeting (you can join by phone too, if you prefer).

Several members of the MLCC's Square Maintenance Committee proudly raised our flags in Mt. Lookout Square this week.
The American flag was donated by State Representative and Mt. Lookout resident Tom Brinkman - thank you Mr. Brinkman! The center flag is our Ohio flag and on the bottom is the flag created especially for Mt. Lookout through the CincyFlags project. To learn about the symbols on our flag, visit the CincyFlags website.
Spring Has Sprung in Mt. Lookout Square!
Did you know that the funds we raise through MLCC memberships and Luminaria are used for beautification and landscaping in the Square?
One of our annual investments is with Cincinnati Parks to plant flowers in the large statement pots located throughout the Square. We were delighted this week to see the Spring flowers going in and brightening up the area!
Another of our annual investments is for landscaping. Last week, the crew from Wimberg Landscaping performed the spring clean up of our flower beds located in the traffic islands in the Square.
The MLCC is always interested in getting volunteers to help with community initiatives. Currently, we're looking for volunteers to help with litter pickup in the Square. Would you be willing to commit an hour or two to help keep the Square in tip-top shape? Please click on ourSign Up Genius linkand select a date/time to help. Thank you neighbors!
