MLHS Mission Trip Team Leaves Dec. 28 | |

Twenty-one students and five adults leave December 28 on the 17th annual mission trip to El Paso, Texas/Anapra, Mexico. While there, they will build two small houses for two families, Family Medina Mendez and Family Marin Mata.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the missionaries of Mayer Lutheran to make an impact for Christ in Anapra as they build these two homes on diametric opposite corners of Anapra, meet both new people and old friends, and spread the Good News of Jesus!
The Mission Trip team returns to Minnesota on January 6. Please pray for safety on their trip down and back and while they work, for good health for the entire team, and – most of all – that the love of Christ would shine through our students and adult chaperones to these two families and to all those they meet on their trip.

School-Wide J-Term is January 3-6 | |

This year for J-Term at MLHS, the focus is on service and relationship-building. A new aspect of the January 2023 J-Term is that, rather than individual offerings from which students can pick, each of the four days is a school-wide activity.
- Tuesday, January 3 will be a trip to Sky Zone, which offers a variety of indoor activities.
- Wednesday, January 4 is the kick-off to service projects, which will start with praise and worship at MLHS, and then transition to packing meals at two Feed My Starving Children locations.
- Thursday, January 5 is another activity day - skiing at Buck Hill.
- J-Term ends Friday, January 6 with another day of service, this time at school tying blankets for Mary's Place, decorating children's lunch bags, and making sandwiches for 365 Sandwich Ministries. Students will also hear from Pastor Ben Griffin of LINC Ministries.
Please pray for the success of this year’s J-Term. Pray that the faculty and students will benefit from these days of fellowship and will grow in positive relationships with everyone involved, but most importantly grow in their walk with their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Substitute Teachers
Mayer Lutheran is looking for substitute teachers. A teaching degree is not required, but is beneficial. For more information or to get an application, please contact Mr. Wilaby, Principal or call 952-657-2251 x1008.
Substitute Van/Bus Drivers
Mayer Lutheran is looking for substitute route drivers. Routes typically leave in the morning around 6:15 AM and are completed by 8:00 AM. Afternoon routes begin at 3:15 PM and are typically back by 4:30 PM. The pay is $18.00 per hour.
