MLK 50 Sidewalk March: TOMORROW at 4:30 p.m.
Join us TOMORROW for a commemorative sidewalk march to remember the 50th anniversary of the death of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The sidewalk march will begin at the Hanna Center (1201 N 18th Street, Lafayette) at 4:30 p.m. Parking is available in the lot across from the Hanna Center. Together, we will walk to the Tippecanoe County Public Library (627 South Street, Lafayette). After the March, everyone will meet at 5:15 p.m. in the McAllister rooms at the library. Individuals who remember this day in history will share their personal stories, and there will be a solemn observance at the exact moment when Dr. King died at 6:01 p.m., followed by a bit of poetry.

Shuttle buses courtesy of Lafayette Urban Ministry will run between the Hanna Center and the TCP Library before and after the program to assist with parking. Please consider the weather and dress appropriately with comfortable walking footwear. Bottles of water will be provided for walkers. For more information, click HERE .
