Martin Luther King National Day of Service
Our students visited the Civil Rights Museum, volunteered at a local elementary school and did many other acts of kindness through out our city.

The Leadership Club volunteered at Treadwell Middle School to read and help out around Treadwell Middle School for a few hours Monday!

The Decibels
The choir performed at the M-Town Production Victory Gospel Concert. This is n annual benefit concert for different non-profit organizations in the City. We were invited by Stellar Award winning artist Kevin Davidson who is an East HS Alumnus. Our choir was featured as a headliner for the concert.

Spotlight of the Week
Mrs. Wanda Hunt
I am the PLC Coach who has served the East High community for the past 23 + years in the roles of Teacher, Graduation Coach, Instructional Facilitator, and Head Coach for Girls’ Basketball and Volleyball teams. I love teaching and helping students and teachers to reach their full potential. I am a native of Tunica, Mississippi and a graduate of Rosa Fort High School. I am also a 1986 graduate of the University of Memphis (Formally Memphis State University) and a 2004 and 2007 graduate of Union University (Master Degree in Education, 2004) and (Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision, 2007). I looks forward to many more years of teaching and mentoring students and teachers.

Our boys Basketball Team finished 3rd in the National Bass Pro Tournament this past weekend!
This Tournament is the largest high school basketball tournament in the country. Only elite programs are invited. We were honored to be asked to participate and proud of our boys valiant efforts.
