January 12, 2024

Dear Providence,

As we head into the weekend of service, I hope you will join us in honoring the legacy of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in some of the many community events listed below. Personally, I look forward to joining the community on Monday at Tinner Hill and Volunteer Fairfax's Give Together.

As a reminder, Fairfax County Government Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, and the Fairfax Connector will operate Holiday Weekday Service. In addition, Metro will close segments of the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines, between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery/Clarendon to perform infrastructure repairs and maintenance.

The County's Stuff the Bus Food Drive gets back on the road starting Saturday, January 13th in Lorton. See the January 2024 schedule.

Lastly, the Providence District Open House is coming up on January 24th. I hope you'll be there!

With gratitude,
