February Recap:

February was an exciting month as our students established four new clubs: Hydroponics, Anime, Sports, and Videography. The Hydroponics Club engaged in planting and cultivating seeds with hopes to grow vegetables for home-made salsa! In addition, they are trying their hand at creating jars for succulent plants. The Sports Club focused on improving their basketball skills, while the Videography Club delved into script writing and even practiced producing their own videos!

President's Week Camp Recap

Our Annual Presidents' Week Camp was an enjoyable experience for all our members! We had a great time engaging in various activities and learning all about the history of the United States. In addition, we organized an Esports night where our members could participate in video game competitions with each other, adding to the excitement our programs have to offer.

Random Acts of Kindness

Throughout the month of February, our 8th-grade students participated in Random Acts of Kindness. Whenever they observed one of their peers doing a kind act, they would jot down their name on a heart and display it. At the end of each week, those who received hearts were entered into a raffle for a chance to win a special prize. What a fun and encouraging way to support our friends and fellow members!

NYOI Survey

We are kicking off the BGCA National Youth Outcomes Survey (NYOI), an initiative that allows our members to express their thoughts and feelings about their experience at BGCO. We believe that by listening to our members' feedback, we can continuously improve and enhance our programs. We are looking forward to reviewing the results of the NYOI survey and using it to make positive changes for our members!
