Join The MLS User Group

Yesterday, we hosted the first meeting of the MLS User Group! If you are looking to have a more active role as a member of the South Texas MLS we hope you will consider joining. This is an open group and you can attend monthly meetings whenever you have time.

As part of the MLS User Group, you will evaluate system enhancements as well as other MLS-related issues and be responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Governors for approval. The group is open to all MLS members who wish to participate. We will meet via Zoom on the second Tuesday of each month with our next meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Want to join? Check the CCAR calendar for meeting dates and the Zoom meeting link. If you would like to receive meetings reminders each month, email Tomi Coffey, MLS Director, at tomi@ccarmail.com.

Single Sign-On Dashboard Recap

Thank you for all your patience as we rolled out the new Single Sign-On (SSO) Dashboard last month. We recognize there were some challenges, but we hope you have taken the time to familiarize yourself with this new interface.

If you want a quick overview of the SSO Dashboard, we have several resources for you. You can access video tutorials online or review the FAQs that were previously distributed to membership.

MLS staff have also created a more in-depth video that offers a more in-depth tour of the SSO, its modules and features. Click below to watch the new video!

Broker Attribution Coming Soon

CoreLogic has been working to finalize a solution specific to Broker Attribution in Matrix. Fortunately, these changes will roll out very soon! We want to remind everyone about the specifics of the MLS policy changes.

The revisions approved in 2021 and adopted in 2022 were directly tied to adding contact information. Specifically, the language calls for an email or phone number provided by the listing participant to be displayed on the Internet Data Exchange sites and the Virtual Office Website along with the previous requirement to display the listing office. So, who decides what phone number and email to use? The principal broker or MLS Participant will decide what contact information to use as part of the listing attribution.

Ultimately, these changes are about accessibility to property information. NAR believes these changes will more accurately represent the listing to the public and improve their ability to seek additional property details.

Still have questions? You can read a summary of the MLS changes online or access the FAQs online from NAR.

Broker Outreach

The South Texas MLS staff are dedicated to forging better relationships with our members, including brokerages. With a new staff in place, we are taking the time to reach out and recommit to sharing information with our local brokers. During these meetings, we will communicate any major changes to the MLS, including product launches, and how that might impact brokerages and agents. We will also share any important events and classes that CCAR has to offer. Ultimately, we would like to identify a liaison at each brokerage to serve as our "point person" with whom staff will share updates, events and important information going forward. This liaison can be the managing broker or another designated member of the brokerage staff.

You can commit to meeting with Levi Ellis, MLS Members Services Coordinator, TODAY! Click on the button below to schedule a time to meet with him via Calendly.
