MMTA District (Pre-Collegiate):
THIS SUNDAY 9/20: Video Submission Deadline
Note from District IV chairman: "I must receive the student's I.D.# along with the video links. Otherwise, I have no idea who to "connect" those links to, (the judges won't see or know; only I will) nor who to get the evaluation sheet back to! Also, each piece is to be a separate recording and link, and please label which link is which piece in your email."

Join Mid-Missouri Area Music Teachers Association (MMAMTA) today to benefit from all of our programming this academic year!

If you are a pre-collegiate teachers, join MMAMTA before September 30, so that your student may enter for the MMAMTA/Odyssey Pre-Collegiate Aria/Concerto Competition. This year, three winners will be given an opportunity to perform with an orchestral accompanist of your choice as part of the Odyssey Chamber Music Series' February concert at the First Baptist Church in Columbia. Information will be available after this weekend at https://www.mmamta.org/auditions.html .

If you are a collegiate teacher, consider joining so that your student would qualify to audition for the MMAMTA Summer Music Camp Scholarship auditions in Spring 2021. They can also participate in the MMAMTA Musicathon before the auditions, so that they can learn the importance of sharing music and giving to the community through this fundraiser.

ALL the teachers are invited to perform at our annual teacher's recital in January prior to our winter meeting!

Hope you are well,

MMAMTA President

Share Your (or Your Student's) Music Video!
Join Scott Yoo tonight at 8pm, for his Season 2 premiere of "Now Hear This" on KMOS PBS! Here is Scott with pianist Natalia Bolshakova in an excerpt of Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata.

Do you have a video of yourself or your student(s) you would like to share? I will be happy to include one or two videos every newsletter. If I receive more, I can compile them into an entirely separate newsletter - so keep'em coming!

*Disclaimer* The videos are to be circulated within our MMAMTA membership only; you need to directly ask the performers for permission to share elsewhere.
