MMTA District Auditions registration for your pre-collegiate student by this Sunday, September 6. All the MTNA and MMTA auditions this Fall are taking place online:

MMTA District (Pre-Collegiate):

9/6: Registration Deadline

MTNA (ALL):

9/16, 3pm EST: Registration Deadline

Additional Notes:

DIVISION COMPETITIONS ARE AN ONLINE-VIDEO ROUND. Videos for the Division round are not submitted until after the state competitions. Instructions will be sent to state winners and representatives.
NATIONAL FINALS ARE A LIVE ROUND, March 13–17 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Teachers are responsible for verifying all repertoire on the applications of their students.

When you title your video, you may consider listing the edition of the music book from which your student has learned the piece. For example, there are several versions of Chopin C-sharp minor nocturne where the notations vary greatly. After labeling the piece or the song, you may want to note the edition you used to teach in (parentheses).

Join Mid-Missouri Area Music Teachers Association (MMAMTA) today to benefit from all of our programming this academic year!

When I made a full transition from teaching at an institution to teaching privately, MMAMTA colleagues helped me a great deal with everything I needed to know about running a studio. In addition to the MMAMTA programs, I also learned a lot about handling the delicate situation of a students switching studios, and discovering other opportunities in town.

This organization gives you a place to ask questions, to improve your studio, and ultimately, to allow it to grow into what that works for you and your fellow music teachers.

Through MMAMTA programs, we educate all teachers and our students - many who will continue to love music even if that's not their occupation - the importance of fundraising and supporting the musical arts in our communities.

Most importantly, we hope you will join MMAMTA to educate us about what YOU know. The whole point of the organization is to evolve with challenging times, as pandemic brought these changes forefront with the greatest urgency.

Share Your (or Your Student's) Music Video!
