October 2022 Newsletter

Dear MMAMTA members,

I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather and colors that are now taking over our trees!

This is a busy time of the year for many of us, with lots of performances going on and lots of preparation for upcoming events, so I want to keep this newsletter short.

I want to congratulate all teachers and students who participated in the MMTA District Auditions and wish best of luck to those participating in the State Auditions! We appreciate all the hard work and effort of everyone involved.

If you are a member of the Show Me Music Club (of Missouri Federation of Music Clubs), or are interested in becoming a member, the deadline to renew/start your membership is quickly approaching, and it will be on October 15th. For more information, please contact Chris Vitt ([email protected]).

MMTA Honors Recitals

The best way to prepare our students for auditions is to provide them with as many performance opportunities as possible. Sign them up for the following performance(s); forms are included in Handbook pp.22-23.

Open to 3-6 ensemble members
Age limit: 39 inclusive, as of Mar 25, 2023
Live Audition: March 25, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Columbia (FBC)
Finals: March 26, 2023 at the Missouri Theatre
