Dear MMAMTA members,
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer!
If you have not renewed your membership, please do that before the end of this month.
I would like to thank Melissa Simons for her work as the chair of MMAMTA Camp College Scholarship Auditions and share with you the results of it. The auditions were held virtually April 15-May 10, 2022. The judge was Dr. Barb Berwin, professor of piano at Central Methodist University.
The following students received scholarships:
College Division:
Anthony Wu (student of Dr. Peter Miyamoto), College Scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music in NYC
Ryan Kee (student of Dr. Peter Miyamoto), Camp Scholarship to Bowdoin Music Festival in Maine
High School division:

Lauren Webb (student of Jan Houser), Camp Scholarship to UCM Piano/Voice Institute
Junior High School division:

Congratulations to all students and teachers who participated!
I also wanted to thank all the members who participated in our spring meeting on May 27th. It was good to see you all and I believe it was quite productive as well. You will receive the minutes from our meeting in a separate email.
The MMAMTA Workshop with Diane Hidy will no longer happen this summer. There is a chance it could be rescheduled for a future date.
Lastly, I would like to invite you to come watch the Missouri Symphony Hot Summer Nights! Some of our members will be playing. The next concert this Saturday, June 25 at the Rock Bridge High School, titled "Show-Me America," conducted by candidate Wilbur Lin in a program of Duke Ellington, John Williams and Blind Boone! This event is free admission.
