Dear MMAMTA members,
I hope everyone has been staying safe and warm with all the snow we had!
Last week we had our Winter Meeting via Zoom and I would like to thank everyone who could make it. You can find the minutes from the meeting attached to this email. I want to encourage you to read it, so you are on top of what has been discussed and decided.
I wanted to share here that we have decided to do Musicathon in person this year. We will have all the details about it soon. The dates will be February 26 and 27 in Columbia and March 5th in Jefferson City.
I also wanted to share with you that Dr. Janice Wenger will be retiring from teaching on May and will no longer be a member of MMAMTA. I want to thank Dr. Wenger for all she has done for our association. She has been a valuable and active member since 1978! I wish you all the best on this new phase of your life!
After Dr. Wenger retires, Chris Vitt will be taking over on her responsibilities as the new Treasure chair and Dr. Peter Miyamoto will be taking over the Evaluative Auditions chair. I want to thank them both for accepting the responsibilities that comes with those positions.
