Hello
It has been a strange Spring, but congratulations to us all for making it this far! While in-person lesson is no doubt irreplaceable, I hope that you are patting yourselves for "what-was-seemingly-not-possible-to-accomplish" job well done.
Some updates:
Scholarship Auditions are back, now due June 1. We are very pleased to support our students' musical endeavors over the summer online, and in colleges. PDF application is now available at
https://www.mmamta.org/auditions.html .
We had a good
MUSICATHON fundraiser in March, thanks to all of your work. We have donated to the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City and Volunteer Action Center in Columbia; each organizations were very grateful for our efforts. (See their recent thank you notes, below.)
May means... our
annual Spring Luncheon, scheduled on May 28 at 11am on ZOOM:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86122059399 . (RSVP to Ayako is much appreciated.) In these uncertain times, you will want to be informed about next year's events, especially those that affects our students. Personally, I look forward to hearing all about your online teaching experience, and see how you plan to (or not) open your studio. Also, see the Treasurer's Report here:
https://www.mmamta.org/news.html .
I believe there will also be a rotation of officers after this meeting. It has been a pleasure serving all of you again as the MMAMTA President. Hopefully the next President will be more diligent about sending out the Newsletter more in a timely manner... *Smile*
Hope to 'see' you soon,
Ayako Tsuruta
MMAMTA President
