Tips to Help You Reach Your Target

This month we would like to give you a quick tip on what NOT to put in your ads and how NOT to make a PR blunder.

If you want to help a charity during the holidays or adopt one during the year, make sure it is one you are behind and support. Don't do this:

This has to be one of the coldest calls to actions I have ever seen. It also, shows this company is exploiting the holidays and gift giving for the almighty dollar. Also, what happens if I bring you a toy doll and your charity is feeding the homeless?

What you should do:

Select a charity which your company has a tie to or is passionate about helping
Contact the charity and present them your plans and get their blessing
Ask for permission to use their logo and name in ads or other media
Ask the charity to get the word out to their media contacts, volunteers and donors about your event or campaign

Keep in mind, charities are not only in the business of helping, but they are pretty good at getting donations. Lean on them to help you with your campaign ideas.

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

2018 published deadlines from the major shipping services:

USPS :

December 14 is the last day the USPS recommends you use standard shipping if you want delivery on time; December 19 is the last day for First Class mail; December 20 for Priority Mail, and December 22 for Priority Mail Express.

UPS:

December 18 is the last day to ship UPS 3 Day Select — if you want packages to be delivered before Christmas Day; December 20 is the last day for 2 Day Air, and December 21 is the deadline for overnight packages to arrive on the 23rd.

FedEx:

December 15 is the last day to ship FedEx Ground if you want delivery by Christmas Day: December 19 is the deadline for Express Saver, and December 20 is the deadline for 2 Day Air. December 21 is the last day to send overnight packages for arrival on the 22nd (additional fee for Saturday delivery on the 23rd.)

Always contact your shipper for actual delivery dates and times. The dates above are to be used only as a guide.
