If there was a problem
Yo, I'll solve it!"
-Vanilla Ice, 1990
In 2014, Amazon started to create its own delivery company. This was in part to outside carriers failing to deliver Christmas presents, which were purchased on Amazon.com.

Amazon was founded in 1994 and since then has grown exponentially. Amazon now delivers products to over 300 million customers worldwide. They have developed an international network of warehouses, sorting centers, package delivery stations, and data centers. This has made it so products can be delivered with unprecedented speed and efficiency. There are nearly 100 million square feet of Amazon warehouses which allow them to store more than 100 million different items at any given moment.

Amazon did what Amazon does best: It built its own solution to its own problem, rapidly assembling one of America's largest transportation networks. In less than a decade, the company put together:
An army of 400k delivery drivers
An arsenal of 40k semis and 30k vans
A fleet of 70+ planes

This reminds me of the inventors and startup clients we work with and advise. Some are building a better mousetrap, while others find solutions to problems that people have just dealt with for years. From supply chain issues, which the great article below addresses, to the lack of workers to overreaching mandates, we will see many good things come out of this time in our history.

What problem are you going to solve? Let's talk and flush out that idea!
Sincerely,

Allen Jernigan, CEO
