"Out of My Mind"
by James Blundo, MMHCA Executive Director
"MMHCA played a significant role in authoring HB 4325. MMHCA started the bill moving through the legislative process early in 2019, which it allowed it to become a law (PA 96) when we needed it most."
The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved HR 945 in a historic vote supporting Medicare coverage for the counseling profession. The Mental Health Improvement Act will now head to the House floor for consideration.

In response to the Governor’s directive, MMHCA has formed an Implicit Bias Task Force, charged with developing robust training that will set the standard for future implicit bias training and training standards in the State of Michigan.
