Updates from the Munroe-Meyer Institute | August 2026
Going back to school can be exciting, but it also can be a difficult transition. Families can take several steps to help.
Hope Kircher's part-time job at the University of Nebraska at Omaha came thanks in part to her experience with the Trailblazers program at MMI. The goal is to help individuals with disabilities discover their potential and find fulfilling careers.
A visit from Wildlife Encounters, a Nebraska nonprofit, is always a highlight for campers at MMI's Camp Munroe.
Two UNMC graduate students at the Munroe-Meyer Institute received fellowships for the 2026-27 school year.
The Munroe-Meyer Institute will celebrate five years in its new home at 6902 Pine St.
The community celebration is slated for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at MMI.
The event will feature participant art, hands-on experiences and opportunities to imagine the future of MMI.
