MEDICAL MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL
Medical Aid Supplying Hope
April 2023
| |
|
Cold, windy, and rainy conditions couldn’t stop these top-notch volunteers from packing 11 tons of medical equipment and supplies on March 22. In partnership with our good friend, Fredy Tshibanda, founder of United for the Future, the people of Kinshasa, DRC, will have more access to healthcare, and that’s something we’re pretty passionate about! We’re thankful for our phenomenal volunteers, faithful donors, talented staff, and passionate prayer partners. Because of all of you:
- $479,000 worth of usable medical supplies is on its way to skilled healthcare providers
- 11 tons of medical equipment and supplies are not in our local landfill
- An ultrasound machine, anesthesia machine, surgical table, dental supplies, and so much more are on their way to provide hope

From the Board of Directors:
With full and grateful hearts, we announce two staff changes over the past month. It has been an honor working side by side with Joyce and Dr. Jay. Many thanks to both of them for helping our team navigate through all our ups and downs. We wish them both many blessings as they pursue the Lord’s work.
Sincerely,
Ralph, Tom, Louie, Gary, and Brooke

Joyce Eden, MHA, MSN, RN
Joyce has served as the contracted director for the past year; prior to that, she spent two years as a board member. And we’re thankful for her and all she’s done for MMI, especially during the big move as we transitioned to the new warehouse. Thank you for your service, Joyce!

Save the Date: The Gala is Back!
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 25. You can’t miss this event! We’re back at the Clovis Veteran’s Memorial Building, and we have a spectacular evening planned for you. Ticket information will be available soon.

We’re heading back to Fiji on a medical mission on July 25 (to August 8), and we want you to partner with us!
Our Fiji medical mission is coming up in a few short months! To carry out this mission, we also need supplies. Please consider visiting our Amazon Wish List and partnering with the mission in a unique way. These supplies are given as a small gift to all who visit our clinic. This allows some relief from a headache, prenatal vitamins for expecting moms, and chewable vitamins for growing kids.
We’re still recruiting medical and non-medical teammates. Interested? Pray about it and reach out to MMI Travel Teams Coordinator Brooke Nakashima with any questions you have.
Open Office Hours: If you're thinking about joining, but haven't yet committed, come chat with Brooke at the warehouse on Saturday, April 22, from 9-12.
