A Note From the CEO

Dearest Angels,

Consider the term "family." What comes to mind? Perhaps you envision your parents, siblings, or maybe your cousins. You could also be thinking of your beloved pets, possibly. However, have you realized that your notion of family extends far beyond your immediate circle? In truth, you belong to a much larger family that spans the globe: the family of God!

As our MMI team returns from their mission trip to Fiji, many recount the life-changing experiences and growth in their connection to the Lord through the act of servitude and a life of simplicity on the islands. What I’ve learned from the team is that sometimes we need to be stripped of all of the noise and distractions to really hear God’s voice. As my 16-year-old son returned from the trip, what resonated most for him is how little we actually require in life... “Mom, all we need is food, shelter, and of course, the Lord above all.”

I know for him and for the team alike, they found family within the Fijian community as they provided medical care and shared the gospel throughout local villages. As Christ’s children, we are invited to fully embrace our identity and embody a lifestyle that showcases God’s love and unity. We honor this truth by valuing every individual, irrespective of their cultural differences. Embracing the richness of God’s creation allows us to foster connections based on understanding and compassion. In this way, we fulfill our responsibilities as part of God’s worldwide family, allowing His love to radiate through us to a world in urgent need of it.

Dear God, I am grateful for welcoming us into your family. Thank you for the gift of Jesus’ love, which is extended to everyone across the globe. Please give us the strength to share your love with those around us. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen…

Fiji 2024:

We're Home!

Hey there, friends!

We are fresh off the plane and still catching up on sleep (and Mexican food), but we are so excited about what the Lord is doing in Fiji!

During our travels, we held clinics in 6 villages on the island of Vauna Levu, typically seeing over 100 patients daily. Our days were long but were rewarding beyond expectation. The Fijian people are the nicest, most hospitable, and grateful people in the world (IMHO). Their health and dental needs are great, but the Lord put together a team with many gifts and skills to serve each village. All the statistics will be available at the Gala, so be sure to come to see our 2024 impact!

Thank you to everyone who sent supplies for the Fiji medical clinics, supported the team, or prayed for us. You all are the best and it's a privilege to partner with you to bring good health and the Gospel to the Fijian people. Keep an eye on our socials, we'll post more as we sort through the photos. And, it's not too early to pray about (and for) the 2025 team!

Second Saturday Serve Day update

Severe weather alert:

Because of the heat, the Second Saturday Serve Day, August 10th, has been canceled.

But, fear not! Instead, join us on our regularly scheduled workdays (every Monday and Wednesday from 9-12) and our next Saturday Serve Day on September 14.

For the newbies: no experience is necessary and you will be supported by our excellent, expert volunteers. You’ll be done by noon to enjoy the rest of your day. Just bring yourself and closed-toe shoes. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, but haven’t done it, this is your sign, come join us!
