Dearest Angels,
For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Can I share a little secret with you? Once November 1st rolls around, I eagerly retrieve the bins filled with my decorations from the garage to welcome the Christmas season… Yes, I’m that person! A bit premature, perhaps? Yet, the joy it brings me is undeniable. It's all about the anticipation of what lies ahead and the refreshing wave of hope that washes over me.
As the twinkling lights, trees, wreaths, and garlands adorn my home, I eagerly anticipate the celebration of the most significant birthday of all—the birth of our Savior, Jesus. As we near Christmas Eve, I find myself imagining the humble scene of the manger and the surroundings that heralded the arrival of our Savior. Just think about it: the King of Kings in a stable! The contrast and significance of this moment are truly extraordinary! Thank you, Lord, for loving us in our simple humanity.
In life, we often perceive those in royal positions as distant figureheads, unlikely to ever engage in conversation with us, much less build a relationship. But OUR King is different—He knows each of us personally and delights in hearing from us. He is always approachable, fully aware of our heart’s desires and struggles. He is the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, and our loving Father in heaven.
