‘Tis The Season of Gratitude

With the changing weather and the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, we can’t help but reflect on our blessings over the past year. Here are a few things we’re grateful for:

25 Years of MMI

Many years ago, Tom and Nancy had a vision. Through prayer and hard work, MMI was born on October 28, 1998. Throughout the past 25 years, millions of dollars worth of medical supplies have been sent overseas along with hundreds of volunteers who have served on short-term medical and construction teams.

Cheers to 25 years of Medical Aid Supplying Hope from the Central Valley to the ends of the earth!

Volunteers

Our volunteers have faithfully shown up on Mondays, Wednesdays, Second Saturdays, and other project days as needed. We’re also thankful for our non-medical volunteers. Shout out to our tech people, Partnership Council, and so many others who have less traditional roles around MMI but provide something much needed.

Supporters

For those who have supported the ministry for many years, and for those who just started, we are grateful for you. Our annual gala was one of the most well-attended events we’ve had with the highest support provided to date.

Travel Teams

It had been 3 years since our last overseas mission trip and being able to travel again this summer was extra special. This medical team saw 684 patients, gave out 482 pairs of glasses, and led 345 people to the Lord over 7 days of medical clinics. We are grateful for the Fijian government’s change in policy which allowed us to travel in and around the country.

Shipping Update

The next container on deck is ready to go and we anticipate shipping soon. This container will be headed to Conakry, Guinea to Fight Against Aids Guinea West Africa (FAAGUI). FAAGUI is a nonprofit, nongovernmental agency with a mission to eradicate HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and poverty. Their targeted beneficiaries are orphans, widows, families in poverty, and people with disabilities.

Calling All Volunteers!

Join Us in the Warehouse This Saturday!

This Saturday, November 11^th is our last Saturday Serve Day of 2023 and we would love to see you there! Grab a friend and come see our warehouse, learn more about what we do, and get your hands dirty by sorting and packing medical supplies. You’ll be paired with an expert volunteer who will guide you through everything you need to know.

Orientation starts at 9:00 and you will be free by noon. Because we’re in a warehouse environment, we kindly ask that you wear closed-toe shoes for your safety.

Special instructions: Due to the Veteran’s Day Parade at 11:00, parking will be available in the gated parking lot directly next to our warehouse. We are not on the parade route, but if you’d like to map your course, check it out here.
