A Note From the CEO

Dearest Angels,

The temperature has dipped, signaling the arrival of autumn - a beautiful season that marks the end of one year and the start of the next. As the leaves fall from the trees, it's a time of transition and new beginnings. We look forward to the celebrations, growth, and fresh starts that lie ahead - a new school year, new connections, and new routines...

It's also a time of re-evaluation, as we shed the old to make way for the new. Just as the branches release their leaves, we too are works in progress in God's kingdom, constantly evolving and renewing ourselves. It is through this process of release and renewal that we welcome the new.

The next few months hold much to anticipate here at MMI. We've added new fundraisers and community partnerships, expanding our ministry platform. We're excited to host our first MMI Christmas Vendor Craft Boutique in November, followed by the much-anticipated Crab Feed in February. Be sure to visit our website often for the latest updates on MMI events and activities - you won't want to miss out on the fun!

As you enjoy the changing of the seasons, remember that God is with you, and that He has purposefully created this time in your life. While there may be both celebrations and struggles, there are also abundant blessings from God for which to be grateful. Know that YOU are a blessing to the world, and to all of here at MMI.

In His Service,

Cindy

Fiji 2024 and the Future

Dear Friends,

During our final medical clinic this past summer, I had the privilege of being stationed next to the village chief. He sat next to me on and off throughout the day, but because I was busy, I didn’t have much time to intact until the end of the day. When our clinic winded down, I introduced myself to him and we had the most delightful conversation. He thanked me for coming to his village and caring for the people there. And then he said something that I’m still thinking about. He said, “We have basic healthcare services available here, but you guys coming to our clinic is very special. When we go to the hospital, they scold us and tell us that we are going to die, but you guys traveled many miles and came to help us and give us life. Somehow you tell us the same things, but you bring life and tell us with much care and love.”

Friends, that’s what it’s all about. The chief’s words still ring in my heart and it’s even changed the way I practice at home. Let’s take the love of Jesus and bring life to Fiji next summer. Applications open in January and the trip is open to medical and non-medical professionals and students. If the Lord has been nudging you to apply, I’d love to talk more with you. Contact me at brooke@medministries.org anytime.

Faithfully,

Brooke
