A note from Steve
All of us at MMS wish you a very Happy and Safe New Year. Our team at MMS has been busy preparing for another great year. 2024 promises to bring new opportunities and interesting new technologies for us to share with you. In 2023 we worked on many important updates and changes to our current lineup of products to make them more capable and reliable. Sentinel-CPM, Sentinel-VM, ProBalance, ProBalance Plus, and our new Automated Balancing Valve were all updated this year.
In early 2024 we will be releasing the Sentinel II line of monitoring products, a completely new distributed architecture which will significantly reduce the installation costs associated with other monitoring systems currently on the market.
In addition, we will be releasing a new, unique generation of wireless sensors to the market. These Patent Pending sensors will take IoT to an entirely new level. Welcome to 2024.

The new User Interface and capabilities of the Sentinel® - CPM System is now complete!
We are currently working on the release and implementation of the new software and firmware. As part of this update, we have built a new web-based system similar in appearance to the ProBalance 2.0 System. It is designed to capture - and make available to you, in real time - all the data that Sentinel was designed to provide, but in a much more accessible, yet secure format.
This includes
- Real-time Compressor Cylinder Data
- Warren’s Laible’s Multi-Factor Diagnostics
- P-V and P-T Curves
- Alarms
- Running Status

The new Sentinel®-VM software is finished and is available. Not only does it provide indication of catastrophic failure, but more importantly it generates a Phased Waveform, in real time, along with an FFT, as well as a Trendline of the unit vibration over a user defined time period.
With our new system and the included diagnostics, we have the ability to diagnose mechanical looseness, and even suggest where the problem might be based on the rotational speed, volumetric efficiency, gas load, inertial load, combined rod loads, and point in the stroke where the vibration occurs.
The alarm options include a normal, high, and high-high, with diagnostics attached.

ProBalance® & ProBalance Plus 2.0 | |

The ProBalance® Plus Engine Balancing System continuously monitors the peak firing pressures up to 20 cylinders and automatically adjusts the electronic Fuel Valves to maintain the PFPs across the engine to within user-defined parameters.
While many aspects of the new ProBalance 2.0 software are indiscernible, it is significantly faster, more nimble, and much more user friendly. The updated software incorporates improved user interfaces and data entry screens for setup and system changes, as well as new display screens to more clearly indicate the unit operating details. The increased speed of calculations now allows the user to view stacked firing curves, in real time for enhanced diagnostics. There will be no charge for the update, however installation requires a site visit as we are not connected to your systems. As such, the only expense would be time and travel expenses, unless we are already on site for an installation, etc.

Automated Balancing Valve

The ABV is designed to provide a very linear flow pattern allowing the 24 VDC direct drive stepper motor to provide very accurate fuel flow control. The valve itself is rated for up to 125 psi, can actuate in very small increments allowing extreme precision even at high pressure. We have also reduced the overall size, height, and weight of the actuator to lower mechanical fatigue issues on the fuel system.
The new valve has both an electronic position sensor, and 4 externally visible position indicators located every 90O around the top of the actuator. This allows visibility regardless of mounting orientation. Also included is an internal temperature sensor to provide an alarm should your fuel poppet or lifter fail, allowing combustion gases to back up into the fuel valve.
Rugged, smaller, compact design, no belts, easy electronic and visual indication of valve position, a temperature sensor, simple manual override, and MMS’s years of experience to back it up.
