FestivALL Art for All Juried Student Art Show

Clay Center / June 13-27

Mountaineer Montessori School's exceptional art program will be showcased at the 2021 Art for All Children's Art Show to be held during FestivALL from June 13-27 at the Clay Center.

Several individual art projects were selected for this year's show, which celebrates creativity and artistic excellence in students in preschool through sixth grade.

All participating students' names will be announced during the virtual awards ceremony and each will receive an official Art-for-All Artist Certificate with their name.

Art-for-ALL will be displayed in-person in the Clay Center's Ticketing Lobby from June 13-27 during Clay Center hours. This year's exhibition is a part of FestivALL's hybrid experience where A City Becomes A Work of Art. Please see the FestivALL website for more details and events.

In addition to artistic merit awards determined by a panel of judges, People's Choice Awards are given in this show. People's Choice will be selected in two ways:

The Paper Ballot People's Choice Award will be determined from paper ballot voting at the Clay Center. Families will need to visit the Clay Center in person to vote on their favorite work.

The Facebook People's Choice Award will be determined via Facebook on the FestivALL Neighborhood Arts Initiative Facebook page in a photo album. The most "likes" secures the winner! Share the FestivALL page photo with your child's work to your personal page if you wish to participate in this category.

NOTE: All votes will be counted on Friday, June 25 at 5:00 p.m.

The virtual awards ceremony will premiere at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 via the FestivALL YouTube Channel.

Pop-Up Putt-Putt

Be sure try your hand at the Mountaineer Montessori mini golf hole, created by Middle School students, which will be included in the 2021 FestivALL Downtown Open on the streets of downtown Charleston from June 17-July 5. Free family fun!

You may pick up and return putters and balls at any of these locations: Taylor Books, Adelphia Sports Bar & Grille, Art Emporium, or Tony the Tailor. (Hole pictured is from 2019; this year's MMMS hole will feature the Montessori geometric shapes and bi- and trinomial cubes!)
