This week, I share the 5 stoles made for the Conference Stole Project! The artists are Rev. Judy Scott, Rev. Mary Harris, and lay person, Fay Tilly. I met Ms. Tilly when I worshipped at Salem UCC, Higginsville. When I commented on the beautiful quilts, members led me to Ms. Tilly, whom I quickly asked to create a stole for us. Thanks to Rev. Debby Harness for making stole patterns I could give her. Each stole made will be given to a minister who is ordained or installed in the Missouri Mid-South Conference so that our ministers know they are supported, prayed for, and blessed with the stoles they wear for worship, public protest, and sitting at the bedside of one who is dying. Thanks be to the Divine Artist, who surrounds us with love as we are Sharing Vital Communion together!
Blessings, Ginny

Camp Volunteers Needed for:
"This is Our Prayer"
2020 Young Adult Winter Retreat
January 3-5, 2020
We need volunteer counselors, nurses and some weekly program leadership, if you are interested,
please contact Jeremy Force at [email protected]
.
Each year we count on our volunteers to make our programs successful and without your help, we cannot meet the needs of our campers. It does not take much to make a difference in someone life, just a week of your time. I know that it is asking a lot, but I guarantee you will get more out of the camp experience that you would ever believe.
Here are the three steps to making a difference in someone else’s life:
- Volunteer – Call the camp and pick a program.
- Fill out the paperwork and send it back – The camp we email you the necessary paperwork and all you must do is fill it out and return by the deadline.
- Show up at 3pm the day before camp for training – Camp MoVal is an ACA accredited camp and we want all our staff highly trained. In order to make the best use of your time, we are using the 24 hours prior to camp for training, you will receive some reading materials ahead of time to help you prepare, but you will not have to give another day for training.
So, take some time, pray and see if maybe you want to give some of your time to make a difference. If you need more information or have questions,
please contact the Camp Office 636-583-2730.
