PRESBYTERY IN-PERSON MEETING THIS SATURDAY

This coming Saturday, November 16th, at 9 am, will be our next Presbytery meeting. It will be held at Live Oak Community Church, 9642 Live Oak Avenue, Temple City, CA 91780. The presbytery packet is delayed and will be sent ASAP.

The Presbytery offering is designated for Baldwin Park United Methodist Church, a beacon of justice and compassion for many years. Baldwin Park UMC has created a true sanctuary throughout the week by welcoming immigrants and asylum seekers to use their sanctuary as a safe haven.

Besides financial donations which are of great help, at this meeting we are accepting the following donations for the Baldwin Park UMC ministry.

· New toys for boys and girls ages 1 to 12

· New bath towels

· New and gently used blankets

Adjacent to where Presbytery meeting will be held, come prepared to buy products that make a difference to underserved communities!

Plantas Colectivo, the plant rescue co-op, which received a Self Development of People (SDOP) grant from our committee, will have their resurrected plants available for purchase. They accept cash, check, and Zelle, payments.

The Refugee Children Center, which has received PDA grants and facilitated an SDOP grant for a women's co-op, will be selling table runners, jewelry, purses, small backpacks, and more. They accept cash, Venmo, Zelle and PayPal.

IT'S ANNUAL

SURVEY TIME!!

Each year, the Commission on Ministry asks for the Teaching Elders, Commissioned Ruling Elders, Commissioned Pastors, Honorably Retired Pastors, and Teaching Elders at-large to fill out a survey to let the Commission know more about your ministry and ways that they can support your work. Please complete your appropriate form as soon as you can and submit no later than December 18, 2024.

Your completed form will be read by Stated Clerk for Administration, Carrie Kohler, and a member of the Commission on Ministry. COM will pray for the prayer requests at our January meeting and will address concerns and suggestions during the first meetings of 2025.
