NEW SUPPLIES AVAILABLE THIS SATURDAY


ACTS (Altadena Congregations Together Serving) has moved their weekly Food Pantry to Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Food Pantry is held 10 am to noon every Saturday.

 

This Saturday, September 20, the ACTS Food Pantry should be receiving a truckload of supplies, including:


  • 34 pallets of household goods
  • 1 pallet of animal shelter goods
  • 6 pallets of laundry supplies
  • 3 pallets of personal supplies
  • 1 pallet of outdoor home care
  • 5 pallets automotive supplies.


If you are in need of supplies, or know someone who is--or want to help unload the supplies and distribute to the community--come by this Saturday at

PRESBYTERIAN CHAPLAINCY CONSORTIUM ANNOUNCEMENT


The Presbyterian Chaplaincy Consortium is pleased to announce that Rev. Stephanie Kang began on Sept. 2 as our Designated Chaplain at the Los Angeles General Medical Center. She is a Board certified chaplain with 8 years of service as a full time chaplain and leader at Whittier Hospital. She has also done extensive work with local churches and community groups.


The Consortium is grateful for the support of the presbyteries and the many churches which add personal contributions such as visits, prayer, lap robes, and gift baskets for the patients.

FACILITIES MANAGER - WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The Facility Manager will manage, support, and maintain the Westminster

Presbyterian Church (WPC) campus, which includes the buildings, grounds, parking lots, and the Westminster Pasadena Foundation (WPF) rental properties. The Facilities manager will perform miscellaneous maintenance duties as needed.

ONLINE DETENTION VISITATION TRAINING

SEPTEMBER 18


In coordination with the Adelanto Visitation and Advocacy Network (AVAN), CLUE is hosting an online training on conducting visits to someone who has been incarcerated in immigrant detention. We will focus on the logistics of how to work with AVAN in setting up visits to people in detention as well as privacy issues to consider, plus how to make note of human rights abuses and where to report them. Register at:
