PRESBYTERY NEWS

ECUMENICAL LETTER

TO CONGRESS

Many of us in this Presbytery are immigrants, or the children or grandchildren of immigrants. How we welcome the stranger and the alien in our midst, and how we treat them, is crucial to our present and our future. The attached letter from the Stated Clerk of the PCUSA is a reminder of the Presbyterian Church's strong social justice history. On this President's Day, let us remember those who have fled their homes for a new land, and those who continue to fight to belong.
