FLOWERING CROSS AVAILABLE

San Marino Community Church has a five-foot tall cross available for free. It has been used at Easter for “Flowering the Cross” - a tradition in which worshippers place flowers on the bare wooden cross that was used in the Good Friday liturgy, in order to symbolize the new life that emerges from Jesus's death on Good Friday.

UPCOMING EVENTS

HOLDING FAITH WITH OUR TRANSGENDER NEIGHBORS

Free Zoom workshop • Monday nights 7 pm PST • Mar. 17-Apr.7

In partnership with Claremont Presbyterian Church

To register go to holdingfaith.org.

This is a workshop for allies and wannabe allies—for Christians who want to understand gender identity and the Bible, as well as how to be an ally and support in a time when the trans community is under attack. We'll draw from two excellent resources: Transforming by Austen Hartke, and Beyond a Binary God by Tara Soughers. Together we'll explore how we might find our understanding of God expanded by learning from trans

and non-binary experience.
