German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest,  Minnesota Chapter
January 2019 Newsletter
Dear Members and Friends,

Happy New Year to all of our members, friends and colleagues!  We have much to share as we kick off the new year, so please be sure to read through the entire newsletter!

ANNOUNCING NEW MEMBERS WEBSITE!

Our new Members Only Website launched in early December. This was created to offer our members several new benefits! Members can now log in to facilitate renewal of membership dues, have access to the Minnesota Members Directory, and  participate or start any number of forums. In addition, upcoming events and a directory of our Board of Directors with contact information is listed.

To login, click on the link above and click the login icon photo on the top right. Simply enter your email and click on "Forgot Password" and a password will be generated and emailed to you that you can then use to login. Or you can email me directly and I can email you a password, or call me at 612-865-4170 if you have any questions or difficulty logging in.

Non-members may also visit the site, but will not have access to the Directory or the Forums as that is restricted to GACC MN members only. If you wish to join our chamber, click on the Join Us link here or on the website, it's that easy!

A sincere thank you to those how have logged in and renewed your membership! Your support is vital to the continued success of our Chamber and is greatly appreciated. Please login often and check out new events, updates and forums.

Our hope is that through this added benefit, our membership will continue to grow, as the website will grow with added content (coming soon will be a featured member page) and hopefully, many discussion forums. Let your fellow members know through a forum if your organization is looking to fill a particular need, whether it be a job position, industry based question, or any upcoming news that you wish to share. This is YOUR website, created for you, our members!

We have many upcoming events (below), and we are very excited for this year's "Stern des Nordens" Annual Gala. Due to last year's success and rave reviews about the food and new concept (including the wildly popular Silent Disco), we will be returning to the Hyatt Regency in Bloomington on April 27th. We will also welcome back students from the Twin City German Immersion School with their "Wall of Money" to raise funds for their Capstone Program.See below for details.

In addition to a monthly Business Networking Meet & Greet, plans are underway for a proposed CFO Business Circle, partnering with the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, a "Green Energy" symposium, and a partnership with the French, Finnish and Russian Chambers for a round table discussion on Euro-Russian relationships. More information on all of these coming soon.

We wish you all a wonderful start to 2019, and look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Karen Develle
Executive Director
