We thank the Lord for our lay elders as they work in the kingdom. These men serve by assisting their pastors with the spiritual welfare of the congregation and play an important role in the care of our church workers.
To strengthen this vital role, an Elders’ Retreat is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Prince of Peace, Baxter. Both elders and their pastors are invited. We will cover the basic responsibilities of an elder, qualifications, and the care of your pastor and his family.
We are blessed to have Rev. Dr. Harold Senkbeil, author of The Care of Souls and longtime LCMS pastor, join us for the last hour with a special session for the pastors on “Shepherding in the Great White North.”
The cost is $10 per person, and lunch will be provided. Sign up here.
