Dear MNLGA Members:

This e-mail is distributed to key contacts; please feel free to share with others in your office.

Attention new members: I send new updates every day and really do not repeat a lot of the same information. Chelsea has added to the MNLGA’s COVID-19 resources page the COVID-19 based member alerts since we began issuing them on March 16 th . Please review them if you are hunting for older information.

New Information Today :

I’ve come across a very good article in Forbes magazine – “ Ten Things We Need To Know About Paycheck Protection Program Loan Forgiveness .” This is a really well organized, concise, and easy-to-follow article. If you’ve taken out this loan or are considering applying, I urge you to read this article.

COVID-19 Scenarios and Benefits Available chart –  one of my NLAE peers shared this document, prepared by their insurance agent.  The chart shows Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rules as well as the new FFCRA leave policies enacted effective 4-1-2020. Remember that the FMLA rules (in the first column) only apply if you have 50 or more employees, and the new rules (in the other two columns) apply to all employers with less than 500 employees, unless you qualify for an exemption.

EIDL – Economic Injury and Disaster Loans – farmers have just become eligible for this program. Grants of up to $10,000 are available as well as loans of up to $2M.  Read more and apply here . (UMD Ag Law Initiative blog is the source)

The next NLAE hosted Choose to Grow Forward 2 Webinar is scheduled for April 30th EST.  The information provided is relevant and non-commercial. Topic: CHOOSE TO GROW FORWARD will give you insights into how companies are preparing and responding to employee concerns, customer responses, and financial management in these challenging times.  Join five of the leading business coaches in the North American Green Profession as they offer insights that will help you CHOOSE TO GROW FORWARD!
